NWR- Any NYC teachers out there?
If so, what do you think of the new contract? And, has anyone been in your room ????

too bad we couldn't get a bit more $$$...Don't like having to stay the extra 37 minutes... I have a principals network coming in to observe my reading lesson on Friday because we are a TC model school

Im planning on being a teacher next year whats this whole new contract about?Can anyone enlighten me?

Basically, we are getting a 15 % pay increase, but with that, we have 2 more days (before labor day) and Brooklyn-Queens Day.....
Also, they are adding on 37 1/2 minutes 4 days a week for small group instruction. It's BS!
I have a feeling that since they think the contract is going to pass, they are doing all their "micro managing" now!
