NWR - Need to Vent

I was on trial all day long today. IMHO, I did a great job. Completely destroyed the plaintiff's credibility, made absolutely sure one element of the offense charged wasn't proven (there wasn't even on teeny tiny shred of evidence on the matter), and still my client lost. Why you ask would he lose if I did such a great job? Because, the plaintiff is blond, (real, not dyed) blue-eyed, and white, while my client is hispanic with a thick accent. I HATE HATE HATE racism!!! I am so upset over this. I can't even appeal!!! I am so sick and disgusted that the judge would be that much of a wimp. You could see it too, as he was giving his ruling, he knew the plaintiff hadn't proven her case, but he couldn't follow the law!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ohhhh, that totally *****!! i work w/ legal aid out of the judicial center at rikers island and deal w/ some of the worst people on the planet!! some of the judges don't have any spine whatsoever. it gets really aggravating sometimes. thank goodness for wine and bathtubs!
