Meadow Club Brides BEWARE!!!!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I went to my friend's wedding tonight at the Meadow Club and they were robbed. The bride and her bridal party were told to leave their personal belongings in the bridal suite where they would be secure. This they were told by several staff members. However, when a bridesmaid went to the bridal suite to get something she walked in to everyone's pocket books dumped out on the floor. All of their cash was stolen including the money that the bride and groom had set aside for the D.J. and for tips. An estimated amount of $4000 was stolen from the room. When it was brought to the owners attention he said that it was not anyone from his staff and he really could not do anything. He showed no sympathy for the bride and her friends. Regardless of whether it was his workers or not, the bridal suite was supposed to be locked or watched. Especially since there was another wedding going on. I mean who does business like this? Her wedding day is now ruined. The last hour of the wedding no one danced and the police were there so they could file a report. Just wanted to let you all know.

That's so sad. Not only was this poor girl robbed of money, but she was robbed of happiness on her special day. Just horrible!

I am sooo sorry for your friend. This must have been horrible.

And I hate to say it but this could happen anywhere and I suspect that you would get the same reaction from many owners!

I got married and teh MC had an amazing expereince with them but that aside my bridal suite was never locked nor was I told it would be. I have also recently attended 4 weddings and out of those at at least 3 the bridal suites were open and unattended.

No matter where you have your wedding, you have to be smart and never leave wedding gifts or your own monetary items left unattended. If you have a gift purse make sure you leave it with someone you trust when you walk away. I have heard more than one story in the past where the wedding cards were stolen. Its sad but this is the world we live in!!!

I was in a wedding in July and the bridal suite was unlocked which I didn't like. I went in to use the bathroom at one point and someone was in the suite (who was NOT in the BP) and she was like Oh I just wanted to look around in here!!

Why???? It made me feel very unsecure about leaving anything in the Bridal Suite

Oh my, that is just so horrible, Your poor friend, to have her wedding day come to such a bad ending. Thanks for posting and reminding us that valuables should not be left unattended.

That is horrible!!!! I guess that teaches us all a lesson...... only keep lipstick and flip flops in the bridal suite. I can't believe the owner is saying that he is not responsible. Wasn't it his employees who let someone in the bridal suite without making sure they were with the wedding?!?!?!?!

wow.. that makes me a little nervous... when I go back to leave more money I am going to let them know that I am aware of what had occured.. but why would they leave all that cash unattended in the first place? usually bridal suites are not watched over.. I was in a wedding party at east wind, and anyone could have walked in, the door was wide open.. scary thoughts

Wow..that's horrible.
I just heard two other horror stories in the last two weeks about the Meadow Club. It's such a pretty place, it would be a shame for them to get a bad reputation. They really should do something for your friend. I would be flipping out.
