Favors...

We`re doing a donation, but we will be leaving bells at each place setting. I found these cute little cards shaped like bells, that the bells hang from, so we`ll tie them on with personalized ribbon. The money we saved on shopping around for the bells covered the cost of the cards.

Kel - Favors

There are lots of cute ideas out there. You can check the Martha Stewart board for a few ideas. I know some people have done flower bulbs wrapped in tulle.

Haven`t quite decided...

but we will certainly do something. Our donation is to sponsor an animal. We will receive a photo of this animal, with a little history. So, we`ve been tossing around a few different ideas. One, is to have one giant frame and a matte to hold an 8x10 photo and an 8x10 page telling a brief story of the animal`s history along with the organization. This could go on a small table, along with whatever we choose for people to deposit their cards/gifts into. Or, we`ve been thinking about doing a smaller version using those lucite frames that are v-shaped. The photo would go on one side with the history on the other, and there would be one frame placed at each table. Our original idea was to have wallets made of the photos, put the history on the back, then tie that to the bells. Instead, when we tie the bells to the bell cards, we will attatch small cards with a short note saying something like, 'In honor of our guests, a donation has been made to (organization) sponsoring (animal).'

Donation Scrolls

We are donating $$$ to two medical causes- so we are writing a little something on small scolls and we are going to tie them with little ribbon and we are trying to figure out a way to incorporate the actual ribbon that signifies the cause- you know like the AIDS ribbon- one of our causes has a ribbon and we might try and leave one at each plate with the scrolls- but we are not sure yet.

Candles...

Our wedding is on the beach in September. We`re giving each couple a pink conch-like shell filled with a wax candle. I`m ordering from www.tenderseedcompany.com -- she also has some really cute planting seed packages and other candle ideas. She will also send you a sample. Take a look! Good luck!

Favors

We are doing the small wine bottles. I made the personalized labels myself and am wrapping the bottles in clear celophane. We also decided to use the Hershey candy bars as our placecards. The wrapper(also making myself) will have the name of each person/couple and the table # and the back will have a nice saying with our names/date.

We gave CD's entitled 'Our Favorite Love Songs' which included 22 songs. We burned them all, made labels, jewel boxes wrapped them at a cost of about $1.50 each and everyone LOVED them. I also made my own candy bar labels and bought Hershey bars at price club. I really enjoyed doing the creative stuff.

Can you list what songs you used? Also, did you use Napster or another site? We were thinking of doing this also, and would love to hear how you went about doing this project!!
