Calling all newly married!!! Questions on changing name on documents! Please help!

Ok, so I changed my social security card. Now what do I do next? Bank? Then I was reading about the title & registration for the car. Can you actually change the name on a title? I don't know what to do next, what needs to be done before what!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

since you did SSN, you can do your license and title/regestration...

your credit card companies really don't ask much of you.

your health insurance and other bigger things probally will ask you...my bank asked for legal docs that we are married

I don't know if this is true in NY, but in CT you don't need to change your name on the title of the car since you're still the one who holds the title. All I need to change is my license and registration.

I had thought that as well. I just wasn't sure. Thanks so much!!!
