I lived with FH for a year in an apartment and than we moved into my parents house to save money, but it's so worth it!

No, we did not LTBM. DH bought our house about a month before he proposed and it s*cked but I stayed living with my Dad until the wedding almost 2 years later.

I don't regret waiting though and neither does he. It was the way we wanted to do it.

Nope, I'm old fashioned. Actually, I think it's more that my parents just wouldn't approve and I respect my parents too much. I'm too old for this, but, I don't mind. So, I have my own apartment and he lives in his (soon to be our) house.

IMO i think its necessary to live with your FH before the wedding. Sometimes you don't truly get to know someone until you live with them and then what if you don't like them anymore? It can happen and i know someone who realized that it wasn't she wanted anymore.

*i know a couple from college who wanted to live together (they dated since high school) and their parents said no. Not until they were married. So... they went out and got married. I bet the parents wished they said yes to them living together huh?

I wanted to give him a 'test run' but our parents are both very old fashioned and would never have approved.
