Passport Question



Hi, I started chaning all my info. except my passport which I was planning on doing until I realized that I need my passport for traveling in January. Does anyone know if I will have a problem traveling with my passport in my maiden name and all my other info. will be in my married name????

The name on the tickets will need to match the passport. You will need to get the amendment page with your married name. Not sure how long that takes...

that is correct..what ever you book as, thats what name you need id with.

Thanks! I called them last night and that's what they told me.
They also said that when you change your name you get a completely new passport, I have to send in new pictures and all and pay a fee. I'm a little upset about this since I still have 5 years left on my old one. Oh well

So why not just keep your old one for now?

I have booked my HM tickets in my maiden name, which matches my passport and all of my other ID. I will change it all after I come back to avoid any possible hassle on my HM.

. my SIL sent hers in to have her named changed and when she got it back all they did was (on the back page) write edited ant typed in her new last name. i dont even think anyone has looked at it. ps- if you sent it now, im pretty sure youd have it back in time anyway. she didnt get a new passport
