My poor puppy

I think my girl has an ear infection. We noticed a few weeks ago that she was scratching her ear but it was not dirty or red. We bought some over the counter meds that seemed to help for a while but just yesterday she was crying when I went to look at her ear and it is very red. I wish there was something I could do to ease the pain. Any ideas? I cannot take her to the vet until Friday

Where do you live? Fort Hill Animal Hospital can usually get you an appointment immediately if the dog is in pain. They are located in Huntington. Let me know if you want the info.

Did you get the ear cleaner?? Make sure to rub it in good and then remove with a cotton ball... If you got medicated drops I would get a cleaner first... clean it with the cleaner, wait 10 minutes and then do the medicated... repeat everyday for 10 days....this is what the vet told us to do from my puppy when he had one... and then you should clean the ears without the medicated once a week to prevent a recurrence

Update :

Sandy went to the vet today and she has a yeast and bacterial infection in both ears. I feel SOOOO bad for her. The doc was poking at her ears (cleaning them) and she was crying and shaking. I mean, look at this face, don't you feel bad?

I got some antibacterial ear medicine so she should be feeling better soon. Poor Sandy !!!

Awe! My pug used to get yeast infections in her ears all the time. She was prone to it.
