bridesmaids gifts

I have been in a bunch of weddings as a bridesmaid and never seem to use whatever gift I have been given. I was thinking maybe for a gift to my girls I'll pay for their hair and makeup the day of the wedding or maybe get them a mani/pedi/massage? What do you think? Is that a cheesy gift?

Re: bridesmaids gifts

That seems like a great idea. I am looking to spend about $100 per BP member a little more for the best men (there's 2) and MOH. We have 16 not including the fg & rb. We are still deciding on them. The only thing is I kind of wanted them to have something that they could keep. Any ideas for that. I think my FI wants to get the guys memoriblia (sp?). I just don't know!

Re: bridesmaids gifts

Great idea! Definitely do it!

I personally think the 'traditional' BP gifts are rediculous. JMHO

Re: bridesmaids gifts

That's a great idea. I was thinking of doing the same thing!!!

If you decide to do the massage/mani/pedi idea, there's a site called www.spawish.com where you can get giftcards that can be used at a lot of spas around the country (that's the only gift I ever used for being in a wedding party).

Re: bridesmaids gifts

I gave my girls spa wish gift certificates, the all loved them and you can use that at a number of locations.

My two sisters who were my maids of honor, I gave them tickets to Mamma Mia and we all had a great time there too.

Re: bridesmaids gifts

That is a good idea. I gave the bm's very pretty purple earrings that matched the gowns and a sterling silver ankle braclet . The can all wear both of them again, which I was aiming for.

I like the massage idea, but I wouldnt pay for their stuff the day of the wedding. Its kinda... I dont know, just not really a gift since it directly involves your day and making them look better for YOUR wedding. You know what I mean? I would rather have a gift certificate and could choose to use it on your day or on my own day.
