i ordered pocketfolds (for .75!!!) from www.cardsandpockets.com. that's the brown. they are 5 x 7.
i ordered 8.5 x 11 cardstock from www.paperandmore.com in metallic copper. i also ordered ivory cardstock from them.
then i cut "bands" of paper 10" long and in various widths.
then, i cut a copper piece of paper to be the backing behind the ivory "met my match" paper. i used microsoft publisher to create the "met my match" bit. i created a document 1.25" H x 2.25" W, inserted a table, changed the table border from a plain black line to a double lined border, then inserted text box with text in the middle of the table.
that was kind of tricky to explain so i hope it made sense!

i think the key is to get one of those papercutters from a scrapbooking place. it cost like twenty or 30 bucks and was the best buy EVER for this kind of stuff. another hint - if you order from paperandmore.com for an additional $5 they cut the paper for you

thanks, girls for all your feedback! fi just came home and i showed him. he went for #1 as well. so it shall be! i'll have to work on the actual invite and inserts this weekend. i'm sure i'll be asking for your feedback then too!
