Why can't you have here comes the bride?
Because it was written by Wagner and it is common knowledge, at least among Jewish people, that Wagner was Hitler's favorite composer. That is why you will almost never hear it at a Jewish wedding. It would be offensive to many people in my family as well as myself.
However, I do not pass judgement on a bride who does choose that song. It is simply not for me.

Re: Wedding March?
Kenny G 'Weddng Song'. I'm an outdoor wedding, not a church, so I think it works well. Plus I love it!

Re: Wedding March?
My ceremony was an outdoor one which was by the lake and I used 'When I fall in Love' by Chris Botti. I did not want the traditional march and because it was outdoor I wanted classical instruments to kind of set the tone.

Re: Wedding March?
Neither, I'm using Forever in Love by Kenny G. FH came across it and could just see me walking down the aisle to him, so he picked it out for me; I love it!!

Re: Wedding March?
I want to walk down to Canon in D because I have always loved that piece. Every time we pass a cd display in the stores that has the buttons you can press to listen to song snippets, we play it and get all teary-eyed and kiss. Awww.....

Re: Wedding March?
I cannot have 'here comes the bride' because my church prefers more 'religious' music. I'm actually ok with it....

Re: Wedding March?
Our deacon told us that we can chose a different song, but it would have to be instrumental, we're debating on having 'here comes the bride' or the instrumental version of 'from this moment' Shania Twain.Welcome New Vendors
