NWR: *PARIS* anyone? Need GTG and advice ASAP!

Hi everyone - my sweetheart and I leave for Paris in less than 2 weeks and I am getting so excited. I remember someone on here saying they would be there at that time too but I can't FIND THEM! Who???

Please reply or FM me if you're traveling there in November or December because I'm trying to arrange a get together for brides from LI Weddings if possible!

Also if you have any suggestions about things to do or places that aren't 'typical', let me know. So far my fav is touring the Opera Garnier which was the inspiraton for The Phantom of the Opera.

Thanks in advance!

Lucky you. It wasn't me that was going originally but I was going to go this week since I'm taking the week off before I start my new job, but b/c of the riots I was advised not to go right now. But, have a blast! If you've never been it will be the time of your life. I go every year, I love it there. I wish I could stay. So much to do, it is great. I am so jealous.

Congrats on your new job! We have been following the riots carefully to make sure that we won't be in any areas of concern. The pathway from the airport to the city center is interrupted at some times but other than that we should be ok. I am just keeping everyone involoved in the riots (both demonstrators and officials) in my thoughts out of respect because everyone deserves to be happy and safe. I just can't wait to be in the City of Light with my darling FH and doggie!!

Is anyone else going to Paris now? I know there was *somebody* but my searches on this site haven't turned you up yet!

Oh, I'm jealous I love Paris and actually work with a lot of Parisian hotels ... where are you staying? There is a great restaurant that turns into a nightclub right across from the Louvre. I think it's called Cabaret. I highly recommend it.

We're staying in le marais and then moving to the Ritz on the night of Jeff's birthday. I'd love to talk with you more to see if you have any other suggestions for fun things in the area. Can I ask what type of job you have that you work with Parisian hotels? That sounds neat!

I am in Sales for a hotel in NY, and we are affiliated with a hotel company that is based in Paris. They own a lot of hotels in Paris and the sales people come to NY all the time. But there's no reason for me to go there for work I have only been there once but I fell in love with it. If you want, I can ask the sales people i know (who are in their mid to late 20's) what all the hot spots are for nightlife.
