Some DIY Projects and other wedding stuff WITH LOTS OF PICS

I have not posted any pictures of my wedding things and thought it was high time I share my projects with you girls. Please don't mind the mess on my dining room table.

First, are my ribbon wands. They were very time consuming. I recommend buying them. First, I couldn't find dowels, so I used 11' lolly pop sticks that I found at Michael's. I glued the ribbon and bells on the tip then wrapped them in burgundy ribbon. I am happy with the end result but by the time I got all the ribbon and supplies, I could have bought them for almost the same amount of money that I spent. However, it was fun and did keep me busy to make them.

Next are my candles. I couldn't find burgundy and gold uncented candles, so I had the bright idea to make them. Again, I couldn't have bought them, but it was a great experience to make them and FH helped me so much, actually he practically did them. It was a lot of fun, but if I had to do it again, I would buy them.

My place cards and table numbers were fairly simple. I printed the names and tables out on Parchment paper that I used for my favor tags. I pasted it to the various fall colored card stock. I then used raised double sided tape to put the leaves on to give it some debth (don't know if you can see it here).

This is my sister (MOH) in her dress. All of the girls have the same dress.

This is my 'German Wedding Cup.' The point is for both of us to drink from the same cup at the same time and not spill a drop. The pic does not do it any justice. The woman is solid sterling silver and the cup is very beautiful. We are not supposed to practice before the wedding, but I think we might....just in case.

That's it for now. I have some other DIY stuff that I don't have pictures of.
