Anyone getting married at Miller Place Inn has nothing to worry about- we had a great time there!

The place is very cozy- feels like home- which is really nice! Everything is Burgundy, gold and brown - very cozy and homey feeling to it.

The cocktail hour was very nice- they had seating for almost the entire room, the alcohol was what you asked for and the food was great!

The fajita station was a hit- i strongly suggest this. They also had good handouts as well like pigs in a blanket, shrimp, crab cakes and other things. The carving station was very good too- I ate alot of the turkey.

The ballroom was very pretty!! Her colors were red & silver and the bride's sister made red rose and mini callalilly topiarys with big silver bows and a white pot. Very cute and very nice for Christmas!

The DJ- In the Mood- was very good- played a good variety and kept the crowd interested.

The waiters were great bringing your drinks and the bartenders were also very good- i had beefeater martinis and they were great- served in a martini glass as well.

The salad was ceasar salad then penna ala vodka. The entree choices were salmon, chicken with spinach stuffing and filet.

FH loved his chicken and I loved my filet! I always ask for filet RARE and they gave it to me that way- i was very impressed.
They had a nice vianeese hour and the cake was VERY good and fresh.

I think miller place is a really nice venue for a small wedding (approx 75-125 ppl). I had a very nice time, I enjoyed my food- and i thought the rooms were classy and homey. I will post pictures tomorrow at work.

In the Mood was my DJ...they bit... The crowd didn't notice all the mistakes, but DH & Myself sure did...

That felt good to get that off my chest.

Ok...back to post! Miller Place Inn sounds nice!

It sounds like you had a great time. A wise person once said, you can judge an affair by the quality of the pigs in a blanket!

I need to make more LI friends. All of the weddings we have coming up (with the exception of ONE) are either upstate or out of state. Id love to go to all of these places

Oh Boy - mixed messages about In the Mood again!!!! What am I going to do???

actually, I asked people abt In the Mood DJ, and I am putting their responses on a microsft word document, and when I speak with them (they already have our deposit - my dad would never let me look elsewhere and lose it!!) I am going to tell them all the issues I have heard, and let them know - nicely - that I am hyperaware of them so please lets make sure this doesnt happen!!!

I too, attended a wedding there last night.
We ran into "Preshy7's" bride as she was leaving and we were coming in. She looked beautiful!
"Preshy" summed it all up..Miller Place Inn is great..
Sounds like we had the same 3 choices of food. My whole table had the chicken, but one had the salmon..Food was great!
Our DJ was High Entertainment..They were excellent! My bride got married there and the ceremony was gorgeous!
If you are getting married at Miller Place, you definitley have nothing to worry about!

My co-worker just reported to me about the wedding she attended there Friday night.

She had a great time at the wedding-the food was great and tons of it. Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating and the place was beautiful.

She loved the band too-but she doesn't remember the name.

All in all it sounds like a rave review!

I had my wedding there and i had 180 people and it was AWESOME> Everything was perfect, from the staff to the food, I would HIGHLY recommend the MPI. My guests rave about it everytime I see them, it was intimate and personal. Not ONE complaint.
