Repost from O5 Brides - HELP FOR FLORISTS/LIMO/DOC
Hi Girls,I'm trying to decide on a florist, a limo company, and a day of coordinator. Please Help!
We met with Royalty and Alexis Limos. We got quotes for both but I need to know if there are any other limo companies you girls loved!!
I can FM you quotes to compare.
Also, we met with Pedestals and Scotto Brothers on Premise Floral Design. We got quotes from both. We were supposed to meet with Flower Michele too but they forgot to tell us that they moved their location from Huntington to Mineola.. I have heard a lot about Flower Michele and I really want to know what the fuss is all about.
Also, we need a day of coordinator!! Any recommendations or people I should not meet with? Please help in any way you can.
TIA!!
October Bliss

Re: Repost from O5 Brides - HELP FOR FLORISTS/LIMO/DOC
I got limo quotes from Royalty, All Star, Sir Oliver, and Serenity. Serenity beat everyone hands down!! I am getting two limos for 5 hours, and a third limo for a round trip pickup and drop off of my family so they don't have to do the whole one hour drive to and from East Wind. Sir Oliver quoted me a price for the two limos for 5 hours that is about the same as the price I got for the three. All Star was right in line with the two limos, I never asked them about the third. Royalty was just out of control - they wanted to charge me travel time for an empty limo to go from East Wind, back to their garage in Franklin Square. Add to this that Eddie, the owner of Serenity, is just totally awesome!!!!!!! We talked for about an hour at the very end of a showcase. He made me feel totally comfortable, and gave me the feeling that on my day he will be there on time, with a smile, a kind word, and a joke if I'm feeling stressed. He'll get me in and out of the limo without me stepping on my dress, or falling on my face. All very important for the bride!I'm not much help with florists, as I've met with 11 and have managed to narrow it down to two. First let me say that I have made decisions on vendors not based solely on price, but also how comfortable I felt with the person I was meeting with. I met with Pedestals, but didn't get a warm fuzzy feeling, although the price was decent, and their reviews here are good. John from Flower Michele & I did NOT hit it off at all, and his quote was on the very high end. I am in the process of chosing between Signature and LA Blossom. I met with Signature for a second time yesterday, and I know my first instinct about him is right. I'm meeting with LA Blossom a second time next week. After that meeting I hope to make a final decision.
As for DOC, I have just started interviewing. The first DOC I met with is out of my price range, and it was only a 7 hour package, not all day. The second DOC I met with is new to the business, but definitely in my price range, and the third, I meet with tomorrow. She said her prices start at the max I want to spend, so I don't know how far that will go. If you want the names of the DOC send me FM.
