Marriage license question
Our DOC is supposedly taking care of getting our marriage license for us....is this something that can be done far in advance (I'm not getting married until May)...what is the usual timeline, process associated with this?

Re: Marriage license question
That's not possible...you BOTH have to present to get your marriage license.
ETA: I believe you can get it as early as 90days, but I'm not sure.

Re: Marriage license question
Yeah, you both need to go to the town clerk to get your marriage license and you need to present ID and what not. Maybe she meant that she will handle sending in your license after the wedding? (Although I believe the officiant usually does that). We got our license about 2 weeks before the wedding and it was pretty painless - it only took about a 1/2 hour.
