Wedding dress shopping question
Hi - so I went shopping for a dress and found one that I like. A sales woman was helping me for a short time, and then had to leave for the night, and handed me over to someone else. The second lady was soooo nice and helpful. She was more my style - very relaxed, not pushy, and really helped me. Well, I went back last night to show my sister the dress I'm thinking about, and the first woman helped me again (even though I asked for the second one when I called ahead). Ok, so she says to me when I'm leaving, that she is on vacation until Dec. 1st, so if I can wait to order my dress until she gets back, that would be great. Meanwhile, this place and 2 other places all told me - 'get your order in now, you are cutting it close'.So I'm guessing they all work on commission...
What should I do - wait until she gets back to order a dress, or just go in while she is on vaca and work with the woman I liked better? Sorry so long! Thanks!

Re: Wedding dress shopping question
I would go when the woman you like better is there, They usually work on comission and if she was more helpful to you then it's probably better to give the comission to her.

Re: Wedding dress shopping question
You do not owe the 1st lady anything! Go w/ who you like, and order especially if you know what you want!BTW, I just ordered my dress last month and was told I was cutting it close so don't wait b/c of someone else's vaca!
Good luck and have fun shopping!

Re: Wedding dress shopping question
I would go back to the woman you like. She should not have asked you to do that, that's unprofessional. If they ran their business fairly she would get the commission anyway, but they don't do that. You should not have to wait to order your dress just so she can get commission.

I agree with the other girls, buy it from the one you like.

Re: Wedding dress shopping question
I agree...Why should you be inconvenienced for this lady's vacation! If she really wanted the sale then she should have waited for you to finish...geesh!!

F - her!!! The nerve of her. Some of these salespeople and vendors can be so pushy or abrupt. You do what's god for you . I would not commit to her as the person that I would want to deal with. Go w/someone who makes you comfortable. (JMO)Welcome New Vendors
