Repost from BHB - Where to get ready?

Do you recommend getting ready at your house or at a hotel? The problem is that my parents are divorced and I would get ready at my father's house (the house I grew up in & still live in). But those 'getting ready' pics would be in his (and step-mom) bedroom, not my parent's bedroom.

The main reason I wanted to get ready at my house is for the outdoor pictures. My house is beautiful - so as long as it is sunny I could take pics by the pool and on my yard. But if it rains, that idea is shot.

House or hotel?

PS - I will also be a mad woman cleaning my house the week of my wedding (Daddy & sister are slobs!)

Re: Repost from BHB - Where to get ready?

I like the idea of getting ready at home. I just think it's more comfortable. But then again if it'll cause you a lot of stress in cleaning it may not be such a hot idea. Maybe your sis can do ya a favor and help you clean?

Kelly,

I am having the same issue..well deciding between house and hotel. We only have AC in the bedrooms and I don't want people to be uncomfortable....but I would miss taking pics at my house...I put a hotel suite on hold Just in Case

Re: Repost from BHB - Where to get ready?

Hey Kelly,

I am definitely gettting ready at a hotel, b/c my parent's house is WAY TOO SMALL for everyone to be inside. But it sounds like the grounds at your house are beautiful for the summer!

Re: Repost from BHB - Where to get ready?

I know an 05 bride posted about how she had to spend so much time cleaning her house so it would be 'picture ready' and that makes me think the hotel would be easier.
