I've decided that I wanted a Feb. bride thread...so here I am...creating one...I know there are a few 07 Feb brides out there...now join me..we can all share ideas about themes and colors and get those creative juices flowing!

well..what are you colors?

right now i'm thinking mine are gonna be lilac (or some form of it, like amethyest or violet) and silver.

i have my bio with ideas and stuff, on the 'other' wedding website. you can look at it from my LIW profile.

NICE COLORS! originally my colors with lilac and pink...but my FH felt that it was becoming a bit too feminine for him. lol so he voice his opinion the other nite...and we agreed to change it.

our theme i guess would be a little bit of valentine--two hearts. that's what we are putting on everything....'two hearts becoming one' we're excited cause we'll be getting married exactly 5 yrs. and 10 days to the day we met. (we met the day AFTER valentine's)

might do silver/platinum dresses for my girls, and they could hold very deep plum colored flowers, while my bo-k would have some white and lilac in it.

i am totally clueless about CP's though. if it were up to me i could give a rat's a** about them. lol just something more i have to spend $$ on.

sooo...what made you chose Feb?

wow everything sounds so nice that you're doing! i like the two hearts becoming one, very lovely! Yeah the CP's can get expensive..you could go votive candles and just a sprinkling of white lilac and deep plum colored roses, and if you supply the votives (which you can get anywhere for cheap, even ebay!) its usually not as expensive as an all flower CP..i put that to you as a suggestion...

honestly...we had wanted out wedding in october because i love halloween but when we found out how much cheaper feb is...we decided to do feb..plus its valentine's day month..i mean what's better than that!

we went to watermill--and are paying nearly like 1/3 of what a bride in june on a sat. night pays for the same thing!

did you get the crazy looks from friends and family when you said you were doing a feb. 2007 wedding??? we've been booked since March of this year, and every keeps looking at us like we are smoking crack or something when we give our wedding date. lol

i know! the difference in prices are night and day! my wedding is on a friday so i'm getting even more of a deal! i don't even WANT to know how much Fox Hollow would've been if i had picked a saturday during the spring or summer!

yeah i get looks followed by 'why feb? its so cold!' to which my response is 'yes but its cheaper..so make sure to dress warmly because the flames of our love just won't be enough!'

i just realized that you're using Fox Hollow...a Scotto Brothers place...my hall is Watermill--a Scotto Family establishment! Those Scotto's are taking over the catering halls of Long Island!
