Are there any Vineyard Brides out there?
I'm having my wedding at a vineyard on LI and am looking for some creative ideas for decor, etc...without going overboard (I don't want the whole place to be in grapes and wine bottles). My bridesmaids will be in navy, and my flowers will likely be green and white.I had an idea for a card box...get a small wooden wine barrel (12'H x 7'W), cut a slit in the top, have some flowers, ivy, and ribbon hanging from it...
Do you think that sounds like a nice idea?
Open to suggestions.

This was my FH's idea...he also suggested burning something into the barrel...like our names or 'Thank you'...something like that.

Re: Are there any Vineyard Brides out there?
The card box idea sounds beautiful!!! We got married at Raphael, and when we were deciding decor, we ultimately decided against anything too wine-related because we were afraid it might be too much. Raphael already has some vines inside as part of their decor, and wine barrels were used to display our pictures, favors, etc. Pelligrini is beautiful already, so you might not have to do too much. Your guests are already going to be super impressed with how pretty the vineyard is.

I didn't get married at a vineyard, but I had a vineyard themed wedding. Here are some pics of the things I incorporated:Card box:

You are SUPER creative! I love what you did! ...so really great ideas!
I especially like the cork placecard holders. Where did you get the corks? - I'm sure I could ask the vineyard. I see the slit in the cork for the card - but how did you make them stand up?
