If FH's Parent's are paying for the Rehearsal Dinner....

I was just wondering how you planned your rehearsal dinner if FH's parents are paying for the dinner? Did you plan the whole thing or did you just give the info: date and time of rehearsal, amount of people and let them plan it?

I am curious because we are starting pre-cana in January and our Church doesn't let you pick a rehearsal date until you are done with pre-cana.

Also are you inviting out of town guest to the rehearsal dinner as well?

they are paying- I gave them the info and let them plan it

I invited BP and guests, and family

I don't have out of town guest - or I would invite them

I want to invite everyone- b/c they really should have paid for more then just the RD IMO

I picked the restarant- and did tell them my Dad is freinds with the owner- but I think the owner figured it out and hooked them up

I am evil- but if you knew what I have to go thru- you would be too

His mom is 77, his dad is deceased. We are paying and planning as a result. I am only planning on inviting the bridal party (with their spouses, because my sister would kill me if I excluded her husband ) and immediate family. That should amount to almost 30 people!!!! As for the OOT guests, I know it is becoming customary to include them, but we just can't afford it.

Fh parents are paying. I gave them the date and time and they gave me the restaurant. I invited my bp with guests and my immediate family with the execetion of one uncle. It works out to be around 40 people but not everyone can make it b/c it is exactly a week before the wedding. i couldn't handle the stress of having it too close together.

Touchy subject for me since I would like them to pay and take care of te RD but NO, now its added stress for me. Whats sad is that
my mom offered and I told her no.

Whatever..I invite who I want and where so I guess thats the plus.

FILs are paying and planning. I told them that I would like to do the invitations and the cake - everything else is up to them.

FH's parents are paying but we are planning completely. It would amost be easier if they were planning but they live in Florida so we will be figuring it out. We are inviting BP, their guests and family from OOT.

we are planning and FH parents are paying. But or situation may be a bit different because his parents live in FL so they really can't plan it for us. But as it looks now it will just be parents, BP (no guests), my god mother and maybe the grandparents (if the FIL don't mind - we are on a budget and if we go over we pay the difference...which kinda annoyed me but thats another story!)

Traditionally the FH parent's are suppose to pay for the rehearsal dinner. I am not sure what my FH and I are going to do, its still to early to decide.

im mnot even bothering asking them or expecting them to, they give me the run around for everything else.....my parents will pay probably!

FH's parents are paying. I'm going to tell them where and provide the guest list.

I would like to provide the invitations b/c I can only imagine what FMIL will pick but we'll see....

I'm sure there will be problems when we begin this process....

The told us to plan it and they would give us the money.
They live upstate so its kind of hard for them to plan it, they don't know anything about the area.
Yes pretty much all the OOT guests will be there, since FH's parents are paying, and all of their guests are OOT, they want them there.
