Gown Shopping Tonight - Last minute tips?
I'm going to the Wedding Salon in Manhasset tonight...any words of wisdom?
- I've got pix of dresses I like to help in the search.
- I'm willing to try on just about anything.
- I REALLY hope I find something...and maybe bridesmaid dresses too!

Bring shoes that have a similar heel to what you will wear on your wedding day.

When I went to try on dresses the salesperson was really helpful. As I would try on the dress she would ask me did I like that one more than the last one I tried on. If I liked the previous one better, she put the one I was trying on back on the rack. That way is wasn't as confusing with all the dresses.

Definately keep on open mind. At first, I really didn't want any pourfy dresses, sleveless dresses, or dresses with beading. (I actually wanted a white bridesmaids dress). I ended up with a poufy, sleveless, beaded dress! 
Oh, and be upfront about your budget from the get-go...

I was there tonight! I ordered my dress from there a couple of mths ago and went back tonight to try on some accessories with the sample dress. I was the only bride to be there. =( Anyway, how did it go?

It didn't really go anywhere...I walked in, looked around a bit, then someone came to help me, looked at the pictures I brought in, and asked what my price range was... I'm not looking to spend an exorbitant amount of money for something that I'm only going to be wearing for like 10 hours...and their starting price for gowns is double what I'm looking to spend - unless you want a sample - but that's not my size.
Bottom line, they were out of my price range and l left. I checked out Macy's Manhasset - while I was in the gown shopping mood - nothing really there - not that I thought I would - Demetrios doesn't really have what I'm looking for...but I did get ideas of basic styles that look good - so that's helpful!

Have you tried RK Bridal yet? I found some beautiful gowns there. Nicole helped me and she was great.

No, haven't gone to RK yet...have only tried dresses on at 2 places so far...still kind of the early stages of looking.
From the sound of it, I think I'm better off looking locally first...find gowns I like, and then look at RK for better prices...I'm overwhelmed enough as it is. I'd also like to try to get it locally, less travel and hassle involved.
I'll keep Nicole in mind though! Thanks!
