The Wedding Center in Commack

I bought a gorgeous Jasmine dress at the Wedding Center for less than a thousand dollars. Now, I am hearing bacd things on this site about them... So, ofcourse I'm getting worried now about alterations and such. Does anyone have any tips?

Re: The Wedding Center in Commack

Yes, I would not use them if you are looking for that 'special attention' . However if that is not as important as the price, I would proceed.

We went there & walked out, we felt like it was bridal mill. But having the personal attention was very important to us.

good luck in whatever you decide!

Re: The Wedding Center in Commack

I think that I am buying my Bridesmaid dresses from TWC... but I am NOT doing any alterations there... I am bringing them to a separate seamstress - who is a vendor on this site. She is VERY reasonable. Check her out.. Cathy Fiorenti - under Alterations.

I think it's okay to get the dress from there, but I would get it altered somewhere else.

Re: The Wedding Center in Commack

I went there looking and found dresses that I liked but I didn't like how they treated me. It was almost as if I was a bother to them. However a friend of mine got her dress there and it was beautiful but she did get the alterations done else where.

Re: The Wedding Center in Commack

They have no cap on alterations. Also be careful because if you don't come to get your dress when they tell you it is in they will charge you a $1 a day until you pick it up.

Re: The Wedding Center in Commack

I bought my wedding gown there. I didn't have any issues at all. my dress came in after 2 months and I picked it up fro there ASAP. I had my alterations done somewhere else (FM me for info if you want to). CWC charges a ridiculous amount of $$ for alterations (the cost is on par with Kleinfelds!) and I have also heard a lot of negatives about their work.

all in all, my experience there was not a bad one.

Re: The Wedding Center in Commack

I also got my wedding dress there for a great price and I absolutely love it. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I went back last week to try on the dress for friends and the staff was still helpful. I have heard bad things about their allterations on wedding gowns and that they are very expensive for alterations. I think I will proably take my dress somewhere else for the alterations.
