This is why i'm not wearing open-toed shoes....so I can wear pantyhose :) I, personally, don't like the look of open-toed shoes with pantyhose.

The fashion police (AKA Stacey and Clinton), say that pantyhose with open toed shoes is absolutely OK!Just be sure that they are not reinforced toes!!!

Re: Past brides that wore open-toe shoes--pantyhose poll!
I think you should wear what makes you most comfortable. You are wearing a gown afterall. People will not (or should not) be looking at your feet. If you do the whole garter thing, they will be exposed briefly, but from a distance, no one is going to be examining your tootsies. The are going to be looking at your face to see your reaction. Unless you are going to wear bright pink tights with reinforced toes, I wouldn't worry about it.

True, but occasionally in someone's proofs you see a shot where feet are showing, and I think it might look better to have bare legs, and a nice pedicure. Just wanted to know what other girls do.

I did not wear pantyhose, and I would have never changed that - I hate pantyhose and they would have made me miserable!

I wore open toe shoes and no pantyhose. It was hot enough as it is wearing that big poofy dress, I couldn't imagine wearing pantyhose under it.

I did.. but honestly because I broke my foot near the wedding date, I ended up wearing sneakers most of the time. The very short moment I wore that - on the ceremony- I wished I hadn't worn pantyhose!

I'm wearing open toed shoes and I plan on wearing pantyhose, just feel more comfortable that way.

IMO pantyhose and open toed shoes is a big no-no. But as another poster said - who's going to notice?
Do whatever you're comfortable in

it was SOOOOO HOT under my gown as it was, I didn't bother with panty hose....I had open toed shoes. It gets hot under there...especially if you are wearing a ball gown....and I mean HOT HOT...

Re: Past brides that wore open-toe shoes--pantyhose poll!
I am wearing closed toe shoes and I am wearing panty hose. Granted I am having a winter wedding and my dress is not a ball gown but I actually NEED panty hose to flatten me out without seams. I am never comfy when my toes hit shoes - they sweat.

I figured that, and I'm getting married in June. Here's my question though: it gets hot under there and you sweat. But is it grosser to sweat wearing pantyhose, or to sweat just wearing bare legs and the slip? Do you know what I mean?

I think Stacey and Clinton should rething their position. Toe-less hose is o.k., but otherwise pantyhose with open toe shoes is a NO NO.
