not really a new tradition, but we are going to continue a tradition started a few years ago of just the 2 of us going out to dinner on Christmas Eve.

No new traditions but despite dating for 8 years before we got married this is the first year we will be TOGETHER on the holiday...our families live 10 hours apart so it was always a sacrifice we made. I am SO excited for DH to come home to NY with me for Christmas Eve & Christmas!!! I am SO Excited sinc the Eve is one of my fav days of the year.

What is sort of new is bringing all (instead of just some) of my decorations to decorate our house and we have changed stuff around!

we each have a blue stocking. i've had a hanukkah stocking for yrs. we'll put gifts in the stocking

Yeah, I have a new tradition, my SIL hijacking my Christmas Eve b/c she had a baby 3 months ago!!!! Now we have to dedicate the holidays to everything concerning it. Sorry to be so harsh, but the backstory is a real doozy!

I guess being Newleyweds really doesn't matter......

I celebrate Hanukkah & it falls on Christmas day this year. we're going to my folks house for the gift thing and dinner.

his family is in OH & TX... so he will have to spend Christmas with a bunch of Jews

no new traditions yet... maybe next Christmas when we have ROOM for a tree

Well this will be 'our Christmas' becasue next year we will have our girl to spoil..
I started coleecting ornaments w/ our names on them in the beginning of this year..
My husband has always had roomates so now we have our own set up.. sooo excited..

DH and I just had a tree trimming party on Sunday. We invited all of our friends over to help us decorate our first tree as Mr. & Mrs. Everyone had such a great time, we are thinking that would be a new tradition. We had spiced egg nog, wine and all different kinds of desserts.

The other tradition we established long ago (this will be our 7th Christmas together) is on Christmas Eve we open one gift each before we go to bed.

This is our second married Christmas, but I'll tell you what we started last year!

Each year we are going to make ornaments for our tree. Last year we got wood ones and painted them, and this year I got a kit where you bake colored beads..Hard to explain...We are going to every year get pizza just the two of us for Xmas Eve , but then have both families over to our house for a dessert party. It's fun, and the only time both families get together. We also each year are choosing homeless kids to buy gifts for--this year, to spread the money further, we spent about $50 at the Dollar Tree store buying tons of toys and stuffed animals. It makes me feel good giving back when we have so much to be thankful for.

Christmas Eve will be spent w/ my family. Christmas Day will be spent w/ his. DH surprised me one morning by having the tree all set up and done (he did a beautiful job!)

Now we have to do our xmas shopping

Cant wait for our first xmas together!

We're FINALLY married and have been living together for 11 years and have NEVER missed a holiday together and this is the first Christmas that we're missing together!!!! He has to work and I am so depressed.
