Catering hall price question

I found a place that normally is 75-95 per person and they are quoting me now for April 2006 for 55 not including mini V or chair covers...that will bring it up to 65, should I try to get them to include the covers and/or mini V?

I really can't afford to pay more than the 55 but I don't like the chairs and the mini V is something my FI really wants.

HELP!

Re: Catering hall price question

I think you may have some wiggle room b/c the place still hasn't booked and it's 4 plus months away...if they don't throw it in, maybe they would consider splitting the difference? good luck sweetie.

Re: Catering hall price question

Past brides have said to sign the contract and agree on the price, then go for extras later on, closer to the wedding. Maybe that's an option for you?

It would help if you named the place - maybe another bride can help you out a little more.

Re: Catering hall price question

One thing to make sure is that the Price per person you are looking at includes tax and gratuity. In the beginning most reception halls I looked at just gave me the base number but that number can jump by 20 bucks after you add the 9% tax and 18-20% gratuity.

Re: Catering hall price question

the price they give you NEVER includes tax and gratuity, so add on 8.75% plus 18-20% for gratuity.
