Hawaii Honeymoon

Please tell me which Hawaiian Islands you liked best and why. We are considering Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island.
Thanks!

Re: Hawaii Honeymoon

Check out the Honeymoon boards.

I believe there's a few posts about Hawaii on there including posts from brides who did a mini review.

Re: Hawaii Honeymoon

I went on a cruise and stayed for 3 days in Honolulu, and we LOVED Kaua'i, Hilo and Kona (Hilo and Kona on the Big Island). Some parts of the Oahu were nice, but Honolulu (Wikiki beach) was VERY built up and city-like. Kaua'i is beautiful and we want to go back and spend a week there! Hilo and Kona were also great, for different reasons. Hilo is the dry part of the island and we went on a horseback ride over the waipi'o valley which was amazine. Kona is the rainy part of the island, which is the best for water sports. The water visibility is something like 98%. We went snorkling and could see the fish all the way at the bottom from the boat! So, I think it all depends on what you like to do. Maui is great for Hiking, but not so great for the beaches. They are crowded and mostly for surfing. Oahu (where Honolulu is), as I mentioned is very nice, but don't go to Honolulu. they also have another island, I think it is called Lanai, and I heard that is aboslutely amazing. If you are looking for beaches, Kaua'i or Kona are your places.

HTH. FM if you have any other questions.
