Spin off Brazilian Waxes

Anyone know of a really good place by Massapequa or Westbury? Anyone have one before that they want to shed the light on the pain story? Is there any? Is it worth it? How long did it last for you?

Re: Spin off Brazilian Waxes

I didn't do Brazilian, but I did do laser hair removal for my bikini and underarms....best thing I ever did! Bit painful and expensive, but permanent! Totally recommend it!

Re: Spin off Brazilian Waxes

It is painful to say the least!!!!!!!!! Especially if you get a FULL Brazillian! IMO its not worth it..they say its lasts 4-6 weeks..mine last about 1-2 and then it started growing back and I had to shave anyway

Re: Spin off Brazilian Waxes

I don't know in that area but I go in the city at Dorit Baxter. They charge about $60. The first time you do it, it is very painful. After that is not so much pain. I guess it depends on you. If you can handle pain. Then it's not so bad. It last about one month. Maybe a little longer.

Re: Spin off Brazilian Waxes

If you do get one...take advil about 30 minutes prior it will reduce any puffiness and it won't be as painful...
I thought it was painful everytime!

Re: Spin off Brazilian Waxes

I have a high threshold for pain for this. Even still, it hurt!

I think it's worth it though to go through the pain.

I never tried it myself or even had it done professionally. Shaving for me is the way to go and I've been told that I do a great job.....heehee, by FH of course.
I am thinking about trying out waxing for the wedding though, especially for the HM.

I use Jadore Day Spa in NYC. Highly recommend Natasha - she is the best and the price is right.

FM for details.

Re: Spin off Brazilian Waxes

My underarms were 7 treatments, my bikini was 6 - it varies from person to person though, because of type of hair and such.
