Wedding gown shopping question...

Hi again! I'm going to start looking for my dress soon and I was wondering if there is anything I should do, or if there is anything I should bring with me for when I'm trying on the dresses? I'm totally clueless. Thanks!

Wedding gown shopping question...

the only things i suggest are a strapless bra and something to throw your hair up with so you can try on headpieces.

Wedding gown shopping question...

I didn't bring a strapless bra with me, the salons I went to usually have ones for you to wear. If you're uncomnfortable with that, then bring your own by all means. I didn't wear pantyhose, but some people I saw there did. One suggestions I do have is to go armed with the pictures of the dresses you want - but remember the one you fell in love with in the magazine may not be right for you. That was defintely my case!! I wanted something with short sleeves, and the dress I ended up getting was strapless. So don't be afraid to try everything on - even the ones that look crappy on the hangar. Turns out the one I almost didn't try on because I didn't like it was the one I got. So go with an open mind!! And Good Luck.

Wedding gown shopping question...

I knew that I wanted to wear my hair up for my wedding, so I wore it up the day I went to look for dresses. I think it helped me get a better idea of how the dress would really look on me. I aslo agree with 'chmlengr' that you shold try on some different styles even if you think you won't like them. It can only help you make a better decision. Good luck!

Wedding gown shopping question...

I found wearing pantyhose, and bringing my own heals & strapless bra helpful. I also wore comfortable clothes and shoes. I brought my Mom and Sister (MOH)to just about every appointment. We usually hit multiple locations in one day. When I had narrowed it down to two gowns two of my cousins and my Aunt came along as well. It would have been too confusing to have a ton of input every time we went out. Have fun - I am not usually a clothes shopper but I loved shopping for my gown. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Let us know how you do.

Wedding gown shopping question...

My wedding isn't until August 2002 but I'm going to start looking by September because I live out of state and my mom is supposed to come down for a few days then. I don't know anyone I could go with other than her when she comes down. I'm going to try to have fun, but I hate clothes shopping, and I haven't worn a dress since 1995 so trying them on is going to feel awkward. I hope they have private dressing rooms and not one big room you get changed in, because I'm very uncomfortable with that. I don't know, we'll see I guess! Thanks again!
