does anyone have examples of an out of town gift bag note they used? we do not want to write a poem, just some nice welcoming words.. thanks!

Here is what we put in our bags. All of our guests said how much they appreciated me including how long it would take to get places, since they were all from OOT and had no idea:

Hello, and welcome to our wedding weekend! Thank you for making the long trip to share in our special day. We hope you’ll have some time to enjoy the beauty of Long Island, whether it be for the beaches or wine country, or perhaps you’ll be enjoying the excitement of NYC.

We’ve put together this bag of treats for you to enjoy while spending time in your hotel room or driving about town.

A few important things to remember:

The ceremony is at 3;30 pm on Saturday, The church is about ½ hours drive from the hotel.

The reception will begin at
7 pm on Saturday, A shuttle service will be provided from the hotel to the Larkfield Manor. The shuttle will start making trips at 6 pm SHARP. Please arrive early for the shuttle since several trips will be needed to take everyone staying here to the reception. We urge you to use the shuttle to be safe, and don’t drink and drive!!!

Whatever you choose to do while you’re here, we hope you have a great time, and we can’t wait to see you on Saturday!
