Jericho Terrace Skylight Room

Hi, I'm having my ceremony in the Skylight room & the reception followed in the Penthouse room. I just heard that one girl had her ceremony in the Skylight room like me, but it was an evening wedding and during the ceremony everyone could hear the DJ yelling and loud music coming from the above room that shares the left wall. And thinking about it now....The Skylight room does share the wall with the top floor of other room. Has anyone had anything like this happen at a wedding there?

Well, we spoke 1st to Anthony, but then he said I have to meet with Gina. We're going there tomorrow. What should I ask them? Thanks!

Re: Jericho Terrace Skylight Room

I LOVE Anthony!!! He is the nicest person there! Just ask him if there is a wedding in the room upstair's from the skylight room during your ceremony. Explain to him your concern's and tell him what you have heard from other people. I think they have a couple of holiday parties there tonight, so maybe you can check it out and see if you can hear the music in that room.

Re: Jericho Terrace Skylight Room

We're dealing with Anthony also and having our ceremony in the Skylight room!!

I asked him about this very same subject a month ago. (we probably read the same post) When I asked him about the noise issue, he said it shouldn't be a problem unless the upstairs party has a lot of children running around or if the party is really making a lot of noise. He told me not to be concerned about it.

ladies-I have to say something about your dilemma. I would be upset that a BM would tell me don't worry about it unless there is a lot of children in the upstairs party...etc..This is a valid concern. No matter what-the room isn't sound proof and if there is amplified music going on-you will most likely hear it. I'm not trying to get you all worried about it, but you need to address it and get a better answer than 'don't worry about it'.

Re: Jericho Terrace Skylight Room

It did irk me that he said that, but I didn't want to push the issue.....next time I call I will just ask if there are any other parties going on at the same time as my ceremony.

Re: Jericho Terrace Skylight Room

I just had my ceremony 2 weeks ago in the Skylight room. We heard no outside noises what so ever. It was so quiet, you could hear a pin drop. There was a party going on downstairs and a CH next door and we heard nothing.

I have to agree with Blu-ize. As much as I loved my reception at Jericho Terrace, I did hear of the noise issue before that post (I heard it since I first booked well over a year ago) and if it concerns you, it needs to be addressed. If a reception upstairs is starting at the same time as your ceremony downstairs, you will probably hear the loudness of the announcements and the people clapping. Bring all issues to the table now so there are no surprises later, this day is too important to trust some BM who's trying to dismiss your valid point as 'nothing to be concerned with'.

Happy planning!

Re: Jericho Terrace Skylight Room

Thanks girls! We met with Anthony last night & he wrote it in that there would be no party going on in the Penthouse room while we'd be doing the ceremony. Mainly because WE are going to be the party in the Penthouse room after the ceremony & ch, so I feel a lot better now. He is such a nice guy!
