Floral Samples
This may be a stupid question, but how does the whole sample thing work? Do you pay the florists to make samples so you can choose which florist you will go with? Do they only make samples after you book with them? How much do they run? My florist search begins soon and I feel so unprepared!

Re: Floral Samples
Depends. Most florist make you a sample after you book them - of course they will adjust it accordingly. I believe the Signature Florist makes you a sample before you put down a deposit. Samples should be free of charge.

Re: Floral Samples
most florist who really want your business will make you a sample to show their work B4 u book.I would be weary of the ones that only make it after you book. IMO

Re: Floral Samples
I met with several florists - I was hesitant to book anyone who wouldn't make a sample before booking. The florist I booked insisted on making a sample for me before I signed anything.

Re: Floral Samples
Another silly question.. do you get to keep the sample? I might need opinions from Mom but she probably won't be able to go to the appointment with me..

Re: Floral Samples
We did not keep pur sample. She had changed it around right in front of me and we had decided on a little bit of a different ararngement. So, she kept it so she could make a note of the changes and show the designer.

Re: Floral Samples
Many of the florists I went to would not make a sample until I booked. Signature was the only one that offered to make a sample beforehand. I didn't keep it because George brought it to a showcase.

Re: Floral Samples
My florest pulled the flowers she was talking about out from the back- luckily we booked a few months ago b/c they only have x-mas colors now! (ours are cream, purple and lavendar/blues). I didn't ask for a sample beforehand but I know that the place I went with was highly recommended. I didn't worry about it. I'm getting my sample this Sat- I hope I get to keep it!! My slaes person said that she'd make a bo-k out of the flowers tho- so I might take that home instead?Welcome New Vendors
