Photographers/Albums
I am rather new to planning and to tell you the truth shy about this whole LI Wedding chatting, but you ladies give great advice. So here is my situation.I have been touring Long Island to find a photographer/videographer. In my travels, I noticed that some places offer traditional albums and some that offer the more contemporary albums.
Has anyone encountoured photographers that do both, where some pages are traditional and some are more of the contemporary styles. I saw one place, but I was hoping to visit at least someone else that can do this before making my final decision.
Thanks.

When you say he does both, do you mean he does both styles in one album? Or does he do both styles in different albums? Did that make sense.
Thanks

Re: Photographers/Albums
most photographers offer both. go with whatever you like best. I would suggest that you be more careful choosing a photojournalist ( if that is what you are looking for) b/c some places will say they have a photojournal when they really don't. A good photographer you will see a difference and they will be happy to explain the difference. My friend was very disappointed with her photos and she did not go cheap.

Re: Photographers/Albums
you can tell your photographer to take both traditional and contemporary pics and then when you put ur album together you can put both kinds of pics on whatever pages you want....im going with patken and my photographer does more contemporary, but they will do the traditional pics that i want...

Re: Photographers/Albums
Most photographers that I have seen offer both digital albums (pics go from edge to edge and there are many images on each page-pictures as background) and matted albums (with pictures mounted on the page with a plain background).Duet
Patken
Sherwood Triart
Silverfox (I think)
All offered the option. If you state a preference they won't show you the samples for the other style. My photographer offers the traditional matted album (which I prefer) that can have a few full page edge to edge pictures added in- whole pages that take up both sides of the album and half where only one side has the full page pic- I think you can do 3/4 page too...it's extra tho. I don't know of any studio that only offers one album style- none that I saw anyway!
