spinoff to holiday shopping...

So I was thinking about holiday shopping and how FH and I developed a system over the years (we've lived together for 3 1/2 years). We make a list of everyone we need to buy for (family and his friends and mine) and we buy all our gifts together and give everyone one gift from the two of us. Sometimes our friends give us separate gifts, but we always give a gift from the two of us. Occasionally for expensive gifts my FBIL (FH's bro) will also go in on a gift with us.

How do you and your FH do shopping for the holidays? Together? Separate? Are we wierd for doing this?

We do it together, unless its a friend of mine, and I just get them something from me. We've lived together for almost 6 years now...

Not at all weird. MY FH and I have always given gifts from the two of us, no matter who the gift is for. We make a list and we either do all of the shopping together or most of it. Its great being partners in the shopping cause it takes so much of the presure off.

this is the first year we decided to get gifts together from the both of us.... and i think its a great idea

I totally agree! Around shopping time we'll actually sit down with a list and think of what to get each person So far I've had a better track record for coming up with good gift ideas, but FH came up with some good ones this year too.

We do the same as you....kinda relieved I no longer have to buy separate gifts for his parents
