NWR: Bad Santa @ Wal-Mart

OMG--I just heard on CNN (thank gawd for cable at work) a story about a wal-mart in Florida. Yesterday a bunch of anti-Wal-mart activists went into the store dressed as Santa Claus and his elves. So of course all the kids shopping with parents were excited. Well these 'Santas' started handing out presents to all the kids...and the gifts were ALL EMPTY!!! I guess they were trying to make a statement about Wal-Mart putting people out of business or something. So...of course the kids become completely hysterical as they have empty gifts coming from Santa himself...thinking that they have been bad or something and they mass hysteria breaks out as all the kids begin crying, screaming...parents yelling at the imposters...Wal-Mart staff figuring out what's going on. They are ordered to leave, and the General Manager winds up in a scuffle with the Santa in the parking lot!! (Of course many of the children got to see this...as if they weren't traumatized enough!)

This was such a crazy story...I HAD to share!

Re: NWR: Bad Santa @ Wal-Mart

I think that also may have something to do w/ the 'Merry Christmas' thing. Employees at Walmart are not allowed to greet people w/ 'Merry Christmas' anymore and a lot of people ahve been offended by this.

Re: NWR: Bad Santa @ Wal-Mart

I dont think its funny at all. Those poor children. Theres also a man who has a huge santa on his lawn covered in 'blood' holding a knife in one hand and a barbie head in another. Yet theres nothing anyone can do. Kids walk by that on the way to school. IMO our kids have enough to deal with. That is terrible.

Well... that is over the top... I think that is totally different though. Why can't you do anything??? Can't you petition or something???
