What is your favorite/most useful Cook Book?
I want to find some new cookbooks that have recipes that are easy to follow - especially on how to season common meats/fishes, veggies differently for a change...
Any ideas ladies?

Re: What is your favorite/most useful Cook Book?
i got the Betty Crocker Bridal Edition for my shower - its great! It breaks down everything nicely and is good for a beginner or seasoned cook. One of those I know I will have on my shelf for a long time...(and it looks pretty!)
I also LOVE allrecipes.com - its great to browse recipes and read reviews, i cook from it all the time. foodnetwork.com is fantastic too. Hapy Cooking!

Re: What is your favorite/most useful Cook Book?
I recently bought the new Rachel Ray 30 minute meals. I have made a bunch of things so far and they have come out really well. They of course take me longer than 30 minutes, but that's ok!

My former manager gave me one called, "How to Cook Everything." I think the author's last name is Brittman. It's great!

Re: What is your favorite/most useful Cook Book?
For the sheer range of dishes, clear instructions, and dishes that are fairly simple, I love Better Homes & Gardens.
However, if I want to make something really special, I often use "The Silver Palate Good Times Cookbook." I'm not even sure it's in print anymore--think I bought it more than 10 years ago. But consistently, some of the best dishes I've ever made came from that cookbook. The recipes tend to take a long time, have loads of ingredients (some hard to obtain), so I wouldn't recommend it for everyone, but I love it.
And for cookies, there is nothing better than "Rose's Christmas Cookie" book--again, may not be in print anymore.

Re: What is your favorite/most useful Cook Book?
i have a few that i love... any of rachel ray's 30 minute meal cookbooks.... even though they all take more than 30 minutes- LOL, they've all come out great! also... for the basics, i love my betty crocker red and white checkered cookbook... and for the crockpot, " fix it and forget it" cookbook is awesome!! so fun to just be able to throw some stuff in a pot, turn it on and come home to an already cooked dinner

Re: What is your favorite/most useful Cook Book?
i really dont have a favorite cook book, but i did receive a book for my shower from the people who attended the shower. each person had to bring a recipe and it was made into a book. I loved it because I have my families favorite meals when they come over my house.
