engagment ring insurance

Hi eveyone!

Just wondering if anyone has a good company to insure their ring around long island? I got one quote and it was $300 a year....that sounds a little too much to me! Thanks!

i still live with my parents...so we have ti under the home insurance....i forgot how much though...

mine is a little over 300 for the year...my insurance is with All-State bc its under my co-op insurance.

Mine is WELL under $100!!! Nearly half that, actually.

I have a completely separate policy through State Farm. Actually, an 06 bride works for them and was very helpful to me in the process.

HIGHLY recommended!!!

i still live with my parents...so we have ti under the home insurance....i forgot how much though...

Usually the cost of the insurance depends on the value of the ring. They chrge so much per hundered.

I am insuring it through a private jewelery insurance co... can't remember the exact name, I will try to find it and edit later...

Mine is $130/yr (would have been 150 if I used my future address in the bronx).

Check out Chubb Insurance Group....they are a 'high-end' company...(for property they usually are the ones you have to go to for houses worth 1 million or more.) They have a special program designed JUST for engagement/wedding rings.

My mom added mine to her homeowners policy. I think it was around $100/yr

mine is insured through allstate when we adding our renters insurance. my fh took it so i dont know really how much it was. now im not too nervous to wear it!

We have mine through Jeweler's Mutual. It was a very easy process and we pay under $150 a year. They do base it on the value of the ring and the area that you are located also. I love them and I am going to add my custom diamond studs to the policy also whenever I remember to send in the paperwork.

My e ring is covered under my renter's insurance policy...40 bucks a year, my ring appraised for about 5k if that helps
