Ladies...I am so out of wedding planning...
I really don't want to do it any more (plan that is) It's just so much and I have NO idea of what to do on some stuff. I don't even know where to begin. but even fh is concerned that we have too much to do in the 4 months we have left.I need a wedding planning boost...or a tutorial at least. I feel like all of my ideas are too dumb, too 'out there' or too expensive...especially for favors. I am just not into it right now but I NEED to be, b/c I am running out of time.
sorry for the vent.

Re: Ladies...I am so out of wedding planning...
You should just relax, enjoy th eholidays and then pick it up again in the new year. I know you must still have a ton of things to do, but they will get done. And as for your ideas at least you know you can get a million opinions on here. It will all work out

Re: Ladies...I am so out of wedding planning...
It's very overwhelming right now b/c it's the end of the year which means: Holiday's, closer to the wedding date, and WORK!!!!I think the best thing for you to do right now is make up a list of what you NEED rather than what you WANT. Once you check them off that 'need' list, then you can tackle the 'want' list.
I would also try to divert focus on the 'theme' which may be overwhelming trying to matchy-matchy everything. If you have colors in mind, stick to that. If you want to do shakesperian - stick to that, but you don't need both.
As far as 'expensive' taste - you can find things out there that are in your budget, but it requires sacrifice and compromise.
Don't lose sight of what a wedding is really about. Your guests will be fed and happy and that's what matters - people don't care if your candelabra matches the favor or dress!
And remember - ask friends for help!!!!

We said Christine!
Jess. Dont be sad.. We aren't supposed to be wedding planning experts... afterall.. We only do this once in our lives, you know? We weren't born with the ability to plan a wedding.
Just relax. Everything will be fine. You must be so overwhelmed with the holidays and work. Its alot, believe me.. WE ALL UNDERSTAND
Take it easy.
We are all here for you.

Re: Ladies...I am so out of wedding planning...
Don't worry Jess, I feel the exact same way. I have a lot of little things left to tackle, and I don't feel like doing ANYTHING!!!I'm clueless on favors also. So I hear you completely.
Just take a break until mid January. By then you should be in the mood to tackle things again. Or handle things a bit at a time. Maybe work on one task per week.
And we're here for you if you need any help!!! Maybe we can organize a DIY GTG!!!

Chin up girl! Relax for the hoildays and then pick it back up after New Year's.I was actually going to start a list of all the 'little' things left to do like petal cones, menus, place cards, etc. I'll post it once I'm done and maybe we can all help each other!

Outstanding advice! I think we all could use this right about now. It is very overwhelming and it is important to remember what the whole thing is really about and what's important and what isn't.

Jess, why not take some time off from the wedding planning. It can be stressful. Don't worry, I have alot left to do as well and our dates are close to each otherEnjoy the holidays and don't worry about planning for a while

Re: Ladies...I am so out of wedding planning...
Take the holidays off! Just try to enjoy until after new yrs. Also first of all your ideas aren't dumb! Its your wedding, do it how you want to do it! Don't let others intimate you. I'm sure you don't have as much as it seems. Favors aren't too hard. You are having an April wedding so choclates, candles, and so on are won't be much and very nice for your wedding. Take a break and just enjoy your last holiday single!

Re: Ladies...I am so out of wedding planning...
best advice I can give is refrain from comparing what you have to complete against what other brides have done.and know that it can and will be done in time. There have been plenty of affairs arranged in less time. Definitely don't call your ideas for your wedding dumb! Think positive, be positive. And lastly, LAUGH, have a good time...

I feel the same way you do right now. I'm going to pick it back up after the holidays, probably mid-January. I think it's completely overwhelming but I'm hoping it will sort of fall into place as I plan.

Re: Ladies...I am so out of wedding planning...
Sorry to hear you are feeling this way.
Take some time to get re-energized about it and then focus on the things that really matter to you and FH about the wedding. I'm only recently engaged and already feeling a little burnt out...so I did some things and am now taking a little break until after the holidays.
Don't forget we are also here to help! I know I'm somewhat of a newbie, but would love to help any way I can!
