Went to pay off the balance of the HM & guess what happened?

FH and I went to Liberty Travel on Sat. to pay off the rest of the HM. We had gotten some $$ as shower gifts and figured out how much we would have to pay. Well.... when we got there we were told that we only had to pay $500, as someone had just made a $1500 contribution towards our HM! We were shocked! It turns out that my coworkers from my p/t job all chipped in (at least that his how it's looking) and contributed towards the wedding, since my co-worker was the one who signed the receipt. We were so surprised and in shock that they would do that for us (FH used to be the program manager of my p/t job and I am still there). They don't know we know yet, since they're trying to arrange a dinner. However, we saved so much $$!

It just goes to show that people can be so generous and giving.

That is exactly what I was thinking! The first thing out of my mouth when the travel agent told us was 'Wait, now we're not going to get as many miles,' since I was paying with my American Airlines credit card. John looked at me like I had 10 heads!

That's great!! Less money to spend is always a good thing!! Now you can use it for either final payments or towards your HM!!!
