How many people normally say no?

How many people normally will rsvp they they are not coming to the wedding?
I only have to guarantee 80 and right now I have 88 people on my list.
Should I be inviting more?

Re: How many people normally say no?

I would - we max out at 24o, put we are going to probably invite 300 - but you should have an A-list and a B-list with separate invites, I am told - when the A-listers say no, start sending out the B-list invites (later RSVP dates...)

Re: How many people normally say no?

I hear that it's 20% or so...depends on your guests too but 20% is standard.

Re: How many people normally say no?

I invited 314 & got 232 yes responses so you will get more than 8 nos i think probably more like 10-16 if the 20% hold true for you.

Re: How many people normally say no?

I would say make your list at least 100 guests.

Re: How many people normally say no?

I've heard around 1/4 of guests say no. Our rate was lower, but we had a really small wedding, and only our closest family and friends were invited, so very few said no. If that's the case for you, keep that in mind when choosing your rooms and your guest list.
