Belize
Someone recently suggested to me that Belize might be a nice honeymoon option. We were originally thinking Costa Rica. Has anyone been to Belize?

Re: Belize
i have been to belize!!It was unbelizable!!!
i wish i could help more, but i wasn't on the coast, where most honeymooners would want to be... i spent the week with a mayan medicine man deep in the rainforest near the border of guatemala... (i was there for an international journalism class)

Re: Belize
We love Belize, we always go to Ambergris Caye and stay at Ramon's Village(your villa is just 10 feet from the beach). It is laid back but beautiful, with the second largest barrier reef in the world. Delicious food and perfect weather. You have mayan ruins and rain forests. Let me know if you have any questions.Costa Rica is also wonderful. You get the best experience by traveling around to different cities as the country is beautiful yet so is the beach.

Re: Belize
i've been to belize, but it was on a cruise so we were just there for a day... it was beautiful though... we hiked to some myan ruins and it was just really neat....if you're looking for a honeymoon spot thats not too 'touristy' and kind of off the beaten path, you should try virgin gorda in the british virgin islands.... thats where we went and we had the BEST time!! its a small island, so laid back, not built up and touristy... you really just hang out and do your own thing all week. we stayed at the bitter end yacht club (beyc.com)- the rooms could use a little updating, but all the meals were included, and they also had a whole fleet of sailboats and small motorboats that we had unlimited use of- we would take a small motorboat everyday to one of the other islands that was close and had the beach almost all to ourselves- there were also snorkeling trips and other tours you could do that were all included, too.....FM me if you have any questions.
