Reception Venue, Friday Night Wedding Under 100
Hi --I am having the worst time finding a venue for a Friday night wedding in September 07 where the minimum is less than 100/125 people. We'll probably only have 75/85 people.
Too far out on LI isn't really an option...probably in the 516 area code. Looked into GWM when we first got engaged and was told that a Friday in September would be flexible with their 95 person minimum and now of course they are saying it's not negotiable. I've searched and searched and am losing hope.
Any suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks,
Lisa

Re: Reception Venue, Friday Night Wedding Under 100
I had a wedding with around 80 people. The following places had that minimum (may have changed):Our Hall, the manor east
Stewart Thomas Manor
Verdi's
Milleridge Inn (the Inn itself)
Maine Maid Inn
Coral House
I'm sure there are more, but we were on a tight budget, so we only visited places with low minimums/per person charges
Good luck!

We were married on a Friday night and our minimum was 100. The same room's minimum could be as low as 75. Jericho Terrace - the Oak Room. Here are some pics from my wedding...

Ditto on SomethingBlu's post. I have that room that she just posted, and our minimum is 75 for a Sunday night. I'm sure they would honor the same minimum for a Friday night. Also Chateau Briand and Leonards can accomodate that number.

Re: Reception Venue, Friday Night Wedding Under 100
Hi Ladies,You girls are fast! Some of these I've looked into and some I haven't and will do so now. I just got the menu from Maine Maid Inn...looks pretty good and the price is right...but even their minimum is 90! I just can't see paying for 90 or 95 people if we only have 75. We're paying for most of this ourselves and we're trying to do the best we can.
Please keep the suggestions coming...I would love something similar to GWM's large room with the windows...very simple.
Thanks again
Lisa

I third the Three Village Inn. I love it there. My family went to Thanksgiving there for many years and the food is fantastic! They have two rooms, a bigger room and a teeny, tiny room. They are friendly there too.
It is out decently far, but it isn't far from the Long Island Railroad (for people from the city) or MacArthur Airport.
