Photography Question - Repost from 07 Board

Ok ladies I am totally lost!

I am going to book Duet tonight (YAY!), but I am unsure of how many portraits to try to get in my contract now. Do you give a 5X7 to everyone in your bridal party? I have 18 people plus 2 flowergirls and 1 ring bearer in my BP. Granted there are a few couples and the kids's parents are in the bridal party, but that is still about 15 photos. Also, is that pic a pic of the bridal party or of me and FH?

PLUS, I need a 5X7 for my grandmas. Should I also be asking for my aunts and uncles (A portrait of me and FH)? We have a large family and this could get out of hand. I am not sure how much Duet will throw into the package. I was thinking of buying the CD and then I can always make my own 5X7s...

Sorry for all the questions, but this is confusing!!

Re: Photography Question - Repost from 07 Board

i have never heard of giving a 5x7 to everyone in the bridal party....

give the 5x7s to the ones who really want it... personally, for the weddings that i have been in, i love the bride and groom, i do... but i wouldnt know what to do with a 5x7 picture of them! it would probably end up in a box somewhere collecting dust...

i remember when i visited duet that they give you a cd of all the digital files... you can always upload those onto ofoto.com and have printed whatever size and quatitites you want for probably much cheaper!!

Re: Photography Question - Repost from 07 Board

Im kinda in the same situation, so I'll tell you how Im doing it. Just a suggestion of course. I ordered 7 (8x10) pics for grandparents, parents, siblings, and one for us. I had them add a cd of all the proofs to the contract and from there I'll print as many as I need. I've used walmart.com on occasion and have found their enlargements very affordable and of good quality. I upload them from my computer and pick them up from the store in an hour. Hope that helps!

Re: Photography Question - Repost from 07 Board

Thanks for your help! I wasn't sure how to go about it and I have heard mixed feelings from people about the 5X7 for everyone in the bridal party. I know that my mom was my aunts MOH and the pic of the bridal pary she received sits in a box (basically collecting dust). I think I will try to get as much as I can in the contract (without going overboard) and then definitely add the photo CD to print extras as needed.

Thanks again!
