NWR- NYPD GRADUATION TOMORROW!!

Hello all! I just wanted to post my excitement that my FH will be graduating with about 1200 other recruits, at Madison Square Garden tomorrow morning!! He has been busting his butt for the past 6 months to become an officer in the NYPD, and tomorrow it all finally pays off!!!

Any others out there with FH's in the academy graduating tomorrow? Or any brides-to-be graduating?

congratulations to him thats so exciting!!!! I just took the test in October and am looking forward to getting called - i'm also on the list for nassua nd suffolk and just took the court officer exam.

Does he know where he's going to be working?

My friend/groomsmen has been NYPD for 2 years now and loves it!!!

if you can find a 'cop shop' or any type of store that sells military, NYPD, FDNY supplies....a gift certificate there is a good thing. all the stuff they give you at the academy is useless. my brother is NYPD and he bought for me to give to my FH, a pair of Smith & Wesson cuffs (the academy ones stink), a better leather case for them, as well as a special tactical handcuff key. anything work related will help them out a lot!

if you can't find a cop shop...head to sports authority or modell's and look for some 'thermals'...such as UnderArmor. they will all most likely be working New Year's eve, and have to work a foot post all day, and thru the winter. the thermals come in handy!!

I work in the 107!!! We border the 103. I work steady midnights now for almost 4 years.. I love it and the people at the 103 are very nice

Oh... Hand warmers are a good gift too!!!! The rookies are on alot of foot post, and their poor tootsies get very cold...

Congrats to all by the way!!! Be Safe!!! And make sure the families get a good pic when you throw your gloves up.. It's my favorite pic ever!!!

Wait, he found out today?

I hope mine does too.

And Queens, that's awesome! FH is hoping for Queens too... keep your fingers crossed for him!

eta: he just called. He didn't get Queens. Actually, he didn't get anything he requested, he's in East NY, which is exactly what he didn't want. This *****.
