Attn all day wedding brides!

Do you have any time's for hair,make-up and photo's?

My ceramony is early @ 11am our recp starts from 12-6pm..What time would you guys start? And what would you have done 1st hair or make-up?

I think hair is usually done first.

My ceremony is at 11:45 at our reception hall, and we're planning on going to Old Westbury Gardens for pictures before that, so I probably have to start with hair and makeup reeeeaaaallly early since I live about an hour from OWG.

So many benefits to having a day wedding, except for the time you have to wake up!

As far as answering your question, I would get your hair done first and then your makeup. That way you can wash your face in case you get any hairspray on it, and you could eat breakfast while she's doing your hair.

As far as the time you start, well, I would say that depends on how many girls you have getting ready, how far away you live from your ceremony site, and what your plans are for before your ceremony.

We had our ceremony at 11:30 am (invitation called for 11 am). The hair and make-up people came to the hotel at 6 am. I wanted to be done by 7/7:30, but of course nothing ever runs according to schedule. I think I left the hotel at around 8 (BMs were still getting hair and make-up done) to meet DH and photographer at Planting Fields Arboretum. DH and I had our 'moment' of seeing each other for the 1st time and we took pics at the arboretum for about an hour. We then went to the Crescent (BP and family were already there) and we took BP and family pics for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Then we had the rehearsal and ketubah signing at 11 and the ceremony at 11:30.

Hallowedding...where are you getting married if you don't mind me asking. I'm working on about the same timeline as you. My ceremony starts at 11 though. So, I'm guressing you are seeing FI before the actual ceremony, right? Was that a hard decision to make for you? Or are you doing that so you can actually enjoy your cocktail hour with your guests. I'm thinking about this also, so I just want your input. THX

Same place as you drtrish! We're not only seeing each other before the ceremony, we're waking up together that day! (But he'll be going to his brother's house to get ready while I get ready at our place.)

It wasn't a hard decision at all. We didn't want to see each other for the first time in a room full of people - we wanted to have time to be together, to hold onto each other and cry together... (Wow, I didn't mean for that to come out so dramatically! )

We are planning on enjoying our entire wedding day from breakfast before our ceremony (Fox Hollow provides like continental breakfast for the guests before am ceremonies) through our cocktail hour, dinner, and the Viennese hour. We are total foodies, and nothing is going to make me miss one bite!

I had them come at the same time. The make-up person started on my mom (she didn't have her hair done) while the hair people started with me and 2 of my BMs. I think it's good to have them come at the same time b/c you don't have a lot of time with a morning wedding.

the church for me is at 11.... I am not seeing my FI beforehand...

my make up and hair is beginning at 5:30.. .I have 5 girls in my party.... then we are going to the church.. not a full mass.. and I have cut out the receiving line.. then taking pics at church, then at hall...... it is going to be nutty@!!!
