Let's share....When did you realize your FI was THE ONE??

I would have to say, one time I was very sick and was at his house in LI, I was too ill to get up and take off my clothes, he woke me up, undressed me and gave me medicine then put me back to sleep. I felt the love in every move he made.

AHHH Eli how sweet.

FH has 5 brothers and 1 stepbrother and to me he stood out from all of them he's the youngest and tallest. Not only that they all tried to ask me out on a date except him (he's the quiet one) so I was like i have to get that one. So he would say I picked him up (I don't think so though)

ETA: we were sixteen, we started dating two years later.

(Sorry its a bit long)We are both volunteer firefighters. It was a Saturday morning we got alerted for a car fire. While enroute they upgraded it to a car fire attached to a house. They then called for his company (a special rescue company) to come to the scene. While my company getting ready to attack the fire (which now spread inside the house) I heard him on the radio that he was the only one. (You need at least 2 people to bring a truck in) Not a minute late while in the house I was knocked unconsciousness. He heard firefighter down and worried that it was me he said he just felt it in his stomach. He rolled the truck alone just to get there. Without even knowing who it was he ran to the ambulance and got on. He did not leave my side till I was home in my bed. He then called me every 10 minutes to make sure I was OK. We where only together 1 week when this happened. We have not been apart since.

Hmm, I don't really believe in 'the one' even though he does. I guess I knew it because he was really sweet the first like 2 years we were together. He picked me up so I wouldn't have to get my feet wet from a neighbors grass when we were walking down the street. He used to buy me little 'I love you' greetng cards and stuff like that. my first year of college I went to school in a different state and I would take a bus to come home every two weeks. he would meet me at 42nd st. in NYC and take the 1.5 hour bus and train ride to my house in Queens every week. One time he even waited for me for hours when he got there late and I left with friends and then went online when I got home (the days of dialup) and he didn't talk to me until 11 pm or later. I felt so bad. I love him.

When I had started to have really bad stomach problems and he drove down everyday after work to stay with me (and we're about 40 miles apart)we had only been together 3 months at that point. Four and a half years later more in love than ever.

There have been a few times when I realized that he was the one. The first one was when we took our first long vacation together. Just traveling with him and seeing him everyday made me realize I could spend forever with him. Another time was when my dad was sick in the hospital for a month and FI came every day to the hospital to keep me company.

Nina and Athena I with you guys. We met in school and he was dating someone else atthe time. I actually thought that he was a nerd cause he always typed all his notes on the labtop, but after a while we started taking and ended up together.

I'm with you guys. There wasn't a real moment where the lightbulb went off in my head; it sorta feels like i always knew he was the one. Honestly I can't even remeber the days when he wasn't around...what did i do with myself ???

awwww I have goosebumps reading all your stories!!!!

I knew the night I met him - it was really freaky, and i was sooo scared of jinxing myself - but I just had the weirdest feeling ever - and 4.5 yrs later - I love him more and more each day ...

When I lost my job, and only had half the rent for my apartment, he just started paying my rent from there on, and taking care of me and my son. He encouraged me to no end, and reassured me everything would be ok. And the results are incredible!!!

I think I had several moments along our relationship that said 'he's the one' some that stand out for me are: the time I told him I love you for the first time in the shower (I said it 1st) the time he send me flowers to my job on our 6th month anniversary. The time we went to the bahamas on our 2year anniversary and he surprized me with an eternity band ring....so many more

This will probably sound corny, but the minute I met him I 'knew.' We were set up on a blind date, so I was really nervous even going on the date.... but the minute we started talking, it was like we knew each other forever. Crazy, but true.... now, he just proves it to me everyday by all the little, but important, things he does for me.
