vineyard wedding
we just got engaged and are considering a vineyard wedding on the North Fork of Long Island. We will be setting up appointments in the next few weeks to visit the vineyards that host wedding. does anyone have a vineyard wedding experience that they can share-good or bad? I don't know anyone who has had a wedding reception at any vineyards and would love the suggestions!

Re: vineyard wedding
I have been to one at Rafael(Raphael sp?) and one at Pellegrini...they were both beautiful and fantastic!Good views..well serene of the vineyards anyways..and so intimate...I felt like I was in Tuscany in both of them....
Where are you considering?

Re: vineyard wedding
I have also been to Raphael...I was even considering it before my FH and I decided on our date. I had been thinking of a fall wedding out east, but he coaches high school football so that didn't work out....but yes, Raphael is very pretty. It doesn't hold too too many people though. Good luck planning! A May wedding out there will be beautiful!

My wedding will be at Pellegrini - the food is brought in by an outside caterer. That's one drawback to a wedding at many vineyards...a lot of extra planning...but it's also good because you can do almost anything you want with the food, decor, etc...total control!
