Invite wording questions

Might as well ask all of my questions in one post

1- If we are having the ceremony at the hall, do we say 'we request the pleasure of your company'? (not 'the honour', right?)

2-how the heck are you wording the reception?
'reception immediately to follow'
'recepetion immediately following'
'reception immediately following the ceremony'

3- are you saying the ceremony starts earlier than it does? (as in, we're thinking of saying it starts at 6 but it's really 6:30)

Re: Invite wording questions

We are having our ceremony at our hall and we put:

1 - request the honour of your presence ... I don't see why it would matter if its at a hall or a church, we liked this wording better anyway.
2 - reception immediately following
3 - we put 7:30 and the ceremony starts at 7:30... people SHOULD know to get there on time! Plus, I don't want people showing up too early and seeing me as we walk in. I want to be in the bridal suite long before guests start showing up.

1 - I found that out when I was researching invite wording. Technically if you are getting married at a place of worship you put honour, otherwise it's pleasure of your company. So I posted about it and most people said to put whatever you want b/c no one will notice but you.

2 - I think we put 'reception immediately following' on the lower left hand corner of the invite

3 - We gave the regular ceremony time - but our ceremony is at 11AM so I couldn't imagine putting any earlier! I think most people will know to show up on time. But some reception halls offer a 30 min. thing before the ceremony where they serve wine and champainge and stuff for people who are there early.
