What a weekend! got LOTS done! UPDATED with pic of shoes!!!

wow- where do I begin. this weekend I feel like we accomplished so much.

On Friday, we opened our joint checking/savings account and visited the limo company we thought we were going with. it turns out we need a bigger limo that we thought, and I am NOT into the SUV models, so we have to check out another place for the 14 passenger stretch. that's fine b/c at least we know.

on Sunday, fh and I went to Woodbury Commons to buy his wedding attire. he decided that he'd rather buy/wear a really good suit instead of a tux. we saw some gorgeous suits (at AMAZING prices) at D &G, Valentin, Hugo Boss, Emporio Armani, and Barney's New York. He ended up purchasing a beautiful Hugo Boss 3 button black suit from Barney's (the didn't have it at the company store) and the PERFECT shade of off-white shirt (it matches my dress perfectly!!!) and a silver tie at Emporio Armani. He spent about $550- which is a drop in the bucket compared to my dress, and he will DEFINITELY get more use out of it.

He's so cute- he refused to try the whole get up on in front of me so I will be surprised.

then yesterday he went alone to Macy's to purchase a new cologne (that I won't smell til our wedding day

) and he also found FANTASTIC groomsman's gifts. He got a Nautica grooming kit in a beautiful wooden box for $8.50 and a cool Calvin Klein shoe cleaning kit for about $11.00 we are also going to give them money towards purchasing new black suits for the wedding (if we can't rent them)

as for me....I found my shoes!! I went to Via Spiga at Woodbury and found the perfect color shoes (satiny and just a touch darker than my dress) for $43!!!! they even gave me comfort insoles for FREE! I already started wearing them around the house and I love them!

also, I found my bridesmaids jewelry- a total fluke, at Filene's Basement on 18th & 6th. I bought them each a bracelet, necklace, and earrings from Carolee. they are all pearls with silver balls....and were $45 for ALL THREE in TOTAL!!! then I found necklace and earring sets for my 3 flower girls.

all in all a VERY productive (and COST EFFICIENT

) weekend!!

it's all of those after Christmas sales...the outlets had 50-60% off everything.

I may have even found jewelry for myself. I'm going to go back to Filenes and look again.

Can I just reiterate that I LOVE Woodbury Commons? It's where I found my shoes and where the deals are to be had. Your shoes rock...they are perfect and you can't beat the price. Congrats sweetie!

I am so happy that I was able to help you!

And thought I would share...my DH wanted to wear nothing more than a Boss suit, that's what he always envisioned as his attire for our wedding. Because of budget constraints (we were broke!) we could only rent...even $500 was too much...so yet again, another similarity.

I bet your DH will look so handsome!

And you will look stunning in that dress!

Congrats Jessica! I love the shoes... they are awesome and will look amazing with your dress. I am positive that Leo is going to be stunning in his suit. And congrats on finding beautiful BM gifts as a steal!
