Bachelorette Party Ideas
My MOH is asking me for Bachelorette Party ideas for my BP, but I have no ideas at all! What are some things that people do for Bachelorette parties that don't involve strippers or OOT travel (BMs can't afford this).

What about a day at the spa? A lot of salons have private rooms where you can bring your own wine/food and have a bunch of different services while hanging out with your girls!

I've done a nice dinner in Little Italy and then a trip to Culture Club for one friend and a night at Mangia e Bevi for another friend.

Re: Bachelorette Party Ideas
Thanx for the ideas - I was thinking maybe of going east (I'm in Suffolk) and doing something in the Hamptons. I like the dinner idea. I like how I am planning my own BP ( ) - I am such a home-body it is so hard for my poor bridal party

Re: Bachelorette Party Ideas
This is so funny, I am doing the same thing! I have all these specific instructions. The por girls that want to go out and party hard will haev NO FUN! I want wine tasting, a light lunch at Pindar (they have an outdoor covered area with tables and live music, it is too fun), then more wine, and maybe drinks and dinner at Claudios in Greenport. Or maybe the Hamptons... I am so far east, I live inManorville, and I love it out there!

A lot of the LI limo companies have wine excursions that take you to all of the vineyards out east. It's a lot of fun, hang out with the girls, drink lots of wine and go out to dinner.

FH and I are in the process of buying a house in Manorville - which is why I really don't want to trek into NYC - SO FAR! I like the wine tasting idea - I'm not a huge wine fan but it sounds really chill and fun - which is what I want!

Re: Bachelorette Party Ideas
I just found a really cool article about a company in Hoboken that does pocketbook making parties. You can either travel to their workshop or host the party in a house. The girls get to pick the material out and the style that they want. They can even design them to make matching evening bags for the BM dresses. Very cute alternative to strippers! I am not sure of the cost but I put it aside for a possible bachelorette party idea.
Here is the website.

Re: Bachelorette Party Ideas
I'm not getting a stipper either. I like playing cards, but I know my girls want to dance. So, I'm starting at Sports Plus. They've got bowling, two bars (where we can play card games), bumper cars, games and ice skating. Then at the end of the night we're going to a club. Good luck!

We saw naked boys singing. There are naked men, but they stay on stage and its so funny. i would recommend seeing it even if you dont go for a BP.

We did this for my SIL's BP and I want to do it for mine. It was SOOOO much fun! We rented a party bus, packed it with lots of booze and hit all the wineries. We stopped on Shelter Island at a really fun bar and then ended up back at her hosue where the stripper showed up (I hate the idea but it was SO funny). I think it cost us about $75 each for the bus and food and stuff and most of the wineries don't charge for tastings. It was a great idea and to me it was so much more fun then going out to a club.

what about renting out a room in a restaurant with a full 3 course meal, open bar and a dj -- how much fun is that? it is like going to a club and not having to worry about the skeezzy guys that come with it!!!

Re: Bachelorette Party Ideas
Ooh.. those are fun! I went to one of those last year for a friend. We are older (in our 30's) and didn't want to go out and do the stripper thing. It was cool and we had a blast.
I forgot about those.. maybe I'll tell my MOH to look into that for me.
